Tessa's First Year

Yesterday we celebrated our little girl's first birthday. We can not believe how fast this year has flown by. It is hard to believe that our little girl is now a 1 year old. We are so thankful for the family and friends that celebrated with us. Here is a video of her first year. We hope you enjoy looking back on her first year as much as we do.

Fun at Grammy's House!

The school year has begun, and Mommy is back at work. I have grown a lot since Grammy was watching me last spring. I crawl, walk, and even run (a little wobbly though).Grammy has lots of fun toys for me to play with. I am lucky to have a Grammy that will watch me when my Mommy can't.

I sure keep Grammy and Papa on their toes!

Tessa walks like crazy!

On July 20th, Tessa took her first steps. It was so quick that we barely even realized what was happening. Since then, she has been so determined to be independent. In what seems to have been overnight, she is a full fledge walker...typically choosing it as her preferred mode of transportation. It is so strange to see her walking out of a room to greet people. In the video you will also see that our lovable lab, Chimi, is such a great play toy for Tessa to love on...or crawl over :-)

Sorry this took a while to post, we have been very busy at the Turley House!

Our sweet Gus Gus

Today the Turley family said goodbye to one very special little pooch. Our sweet Gus Gus who also went by Mr. Gus-er-sons, Gus-a-roonie, and Gus the Dog. Gus Gus had been plagued with Valley Fever that set into his bones and made walking almost impossible. We had been trying to treat it since April, but very little gains were made and Gus still seemed to be experiencing a lot of pain. Our vet threw every medication she could at him with the hopes of seeing improvement, and expressed how sad she was that Gus wasn't one of the lucky ones that comeback from this sort of thing. Making this sort of decision is never easy when you know that the one in question was still so young, but we know our sweet Beagle is no longer in pain.

Gus Gus... you were a very special part of our family and we will miss you so much. Have fun with Sam in doggie heaven!
