Tessa's first trip to the Blue

Over Memorial Day Weekend, a bunch of us Kergers decided to go visit our Grampa's cabin near Alpine, AZ. Papa, Uncle Nick, Aunt Katie, Cousin Mia, Aunt Shelby, Uncle Jake and Aunt Gentry were all there to enjoy the trip with us. We drove all night to make sure the little ones slept the whole way there. Although that made all of us very sleepy when we arrived. Once we got there, we spent the weekend hiking, building dams in the river, looking for crawdads, riding the quads and roasting marshmallows. Great Aunt Ellie and Great Uncle Jay seemed to really enjoy the company and getting to know their great nieces a little better. Tessa turned out to be quite the river baby, never wanting to get out of the river. Tessa got a little color with all the outdoor activity. We even took a trip to Luna Lake where Uncle Jake and Uncle Nick tried to get a little fishing in when the Game and Fish Warden was off to lunch:-)

It was an amazing weekend of family time. We wish we could have had more of our siblings and cousins with us. Maybe next year...wink wink! Can't wait till next time!!

What a great review of your trip for those of us who didn't go along! My bet is those pictures will make the others come running back to AZ for sure! I might even go next time...for real! Glad you all had fun and Papa K left such a wonderful legacy for you all.
