Before Tessa was born, she was given a very special gift. Our 2nd cousin, Sandy, gave Tessa a small dress that was hand crocheted by my grandmother, Tessa's great-grandmother and her namesake - Phyllis. Our Grammy was always crocheting us afghans, doilies and tableclothes. When I opened the gift and I saw the dress, I knew that it was special. In the box was a note from Sandy that said that my grandmother Phyllis crocheted this dress for her when she was one year old. That was in 1941. So the dress is 69 years old. It was such a precious gift to have given to Tessa. I wanted to make sure we got some pictures of Tessa wearing this dress before she grew too big for it. It worked out perfectly that she fit into it during our beautiful but short spring season.
As we have mentioned before, Tessa loves the outdoors. Being outside keeps her happy when Papa is taking so many pictures! (We also squeezed in one more outfit since the day was so beautiful and Tessa was in a good mood.) We hope you enjoy these pics as much as we did. Knowing that my daughter has a piece of my Grammy, her great-Grammy means so much to me. Thank you Sandy for giving us such a precious gift. It will be cherished!
